Oppo K3 To Launch In India On July 19: Price And Specifications

Oppo has been steadily becoming a household name in the Indian smartphone market thanks to their well-designed budget offerings. They are looking to up the ante with the upcoming Oppo K3.

The Oppo K3 is expected to be announced on July 19 in India. The Oppo A9 could also share the stage as another budget offering. Here’s everything you need to know about them.

Oppo K3 specifications

The upcoming mid-range Oppo K3 will be powered by the Snapdragon 710 SoC and up to 8 GB of RAM. That processing package will power the 6.5-inch AMOLED display which has a resolution of 2340 x 1080, resulting in an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The screen-to-body ratio is expected to be the range of 91%, which is one of the highest in this segment.

The Oppo K3’s display has no notch or hole, as the front camera is placed in a dedicated housing that pops up from the top edge. Adding to the big screen experience, there’s also an in-display fingerprint scanner.

As for cameras, the Oppo K3 has a dual camera setup on the back, consisting of a primary 16-megapixel assisted by a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The selfie camera is a 16-megapixel shooter.

The entire package will run off a 3,765 mAh battery with support for 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging over USB type-C. The Oppo K3 will run on Color OS 6.0 based on Android 9 Pie. Storage options are expected to vary between 64, 128 and 256 GB.

Oppo K3 price in India

In China, the Oppo K3 is priced at CNY 1,599 for the base 6 + 64 GB variant, which converts to about INR 16,200. The other variants will be closer to INR 20k.

Oppo A9

The same event could also see the debut of the Oppo A9, which is also a budget smartphone. It will be powered by an unspecified octa-core processor and 6 GB of RAM. It will have a 6.5-inch FHD+ display and is likely to have a notch.

It will have a similar dual camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary shooter, a 2-megapixel depth assistant and a 16-megapixel selfie shooter. Leaks around on the A9 are a little scarce, so some of these could change.
